Please arrive at our practice in the morning with an empty stomach for the blood withdrawal. Please refrain from eating solids after midnight.
As you will require a full bladder for the ultrasound examination we ask you to drink enough liquids. Suitable drinks include water and unsweetened or artificially sweetened tea. Milk, fruit juices and coffee are not permitted.
After a taking of a blood sample, a recording of the electrocardiogram, a lung function test and a chest x-ray you will receive an ultrasound examination of your abdominal organs and cervical artery. Afterwards you will be served a substantial breakfast and a newspaper.
You will be closely questioned and examined by one of our medical experts during the course of an hour. In the next stage your sight and hearing will be tested. Then comes the strenuous part - an ECG on the training bike. In the process, it will be recorded whether your heart and blood pressure act normally under physical strain. After a subsequent shower one of our doctors will be standing for the concluding review and will discuss the results with you, also giving you continuative suggestions and tips.
Please bring along sportswear for the stress ECG (trainers, joggers, sports bra). You will have the possibility to shower afterwards (shower gel and towel are provided).
Waiting periods during the examination procedure cannot be completely ruled out - for such cases, we provide a guest-WLAN or ask you to bring reading material with you.
Employees can ask to be examined by a female doctor. We ask you to immediately get in touch by phone or email.
The checkup has a value of CHF 1200. Your employer will pick up the cost every 3 years. The invoicing will be handled directly between the ifa and Siemens or respectively the medical insurance companies for employees who have a medical insurance that picks up part of the cost with no effect on the deductible or own retention. To enable us to handle the invoicing towards the medical insurance companies, it is required that you sign a declaration of assignment ("Abtretungserklärung") prior to the checkup. With this declaration you agree that a potential cost protection by the medical insurance provider is reimbursed to Siemens via the ifa. We will provide you with the respective form on the day of the checkup.
Appointment changes can be made within 24 hours (work days) of the originally agreed appointment without any effect on the cost to be borne by Siemens.
If you wish to change you already booked appointment, we ask you to immediately get in touch by phone or email.
